Development of music and movement choreography for preschool children using my own didactic tools

Master's thesis addresses the implementation of didactic tool to musical movement activities of preschool children in kindergarten with respect to the integrative nature of education. The first part of the thesis is covering theoretical side of the important aspects of child development at the age of five to six years. Further it deals with the specifics of the development of musicality in preschoolers, especially focusing on instrumental side of the music. It highlights the musical creativity that flows from the principles of Orff School. Musical creativity is one of the objective of the thesis second, practical part. Here thesis research music educational project whose main component is a methodical set Cup Song that contains suggestions for practical usage. Experiment, observation and structured interview are used as methods of research that is focused on verification of the Cup Song impact on a musical and personal development of the child. Orff's Instruments Used at Contemporary Pre-school Music Lessons

Target of this thesis is to realize an one-month musical project at one of kindergarten classes while using Orf's musical instruments. Further to find out through a musical test prospective individual contribution of Orf's musical instruments involvement to a musical development of preschool children. Theoretical part of thesis describes a pedagogical reform at musical education, current status of musical education at kindergardens based on a General Education Programm (RVP). Further refers to a psychological aspect of musical development of preschool children, describes Orf's musical instruments itself and its usage at "itegrative pedagogy". Practical part of thesis is dedicated to a survey. It discovers how often, which way and which musical instruments are used at kindergardens. The musical project is performed at one of kindergarten classes via musical test. Musical abbilities and skills of children are investigated and contribution of Orf's musical instruments is verified and evaluated.
Musical activities in nursery school focused on children at two and three years

The thesis deals with the musical activities of two-year and three-year-old children in kindergarten. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of two-year and three-year-old children, the inclusion of two-year-old children in kindergarten, the importance of music and the child's musical development. It also deals with musical activities focusing on two-year and three-year-old children. The practical part of the work was focused on the research of particular musical activities in the kindergarten of the above mentioned age group from the point of view of the teachers and also on the musical environment in family. The research was conducted in the form of an interview with kindergarten teachers, a questionnaire survey among the parents of these children, and an analysis of songs and songbooks for the youngest children. The main objective was to find out how teachers perform musical activities with children, and what they see as the biggest differences between two- and three-year-old children. Next goal was to find out if parents work with children in this area and how. In this diploma thesis we focus on instrumental activities, particularly accompaniment for selected folk songs to be played by 1st - 5th grade pupils. The thesis contains information about instrumental activities, Orff´s musical instruments, instrumental activities in music textbooks, how to choose a song for accompaniment and how to create and practise accompaniment. The core of the work are the scores of accompaniment and their verification at school. The main objective of the thesis is to impart knowledge and experiences with instrumental acitivities and the scores which teachers can use in their teaching process.

The use of melodic instruments in musical activities of preschool children.

The theme of the thesis is the musicality of preschool age children and their ability to work with even more difficult melodic instruments. The theoretical part is focused on defining the concept of musicality, musical development of children from birth to 6 years, musical creativity and the influence of music on the successful entry into primary school. Another integral part of the theory is a division of Carl Orff instrumentation, its correct name and methodology games. The aim of the practical part is an exhibition of the use of melodic instruments by preschool children to particular songs and its integration into the thematic musical locomotor performance. The survey was conducted qualitatively by a method of an involved and unstructured observation, supplemented by photographs and video footage. I have evaluated the use of melodic instruments as achievable and appropriate provided by an informed leadership.
Rhythm Accompaniments of Rhymes and Songs for Kindergarten

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with a rhythmical feeling and possibilities of its benefit at nursery school, especially during body games and instrumental activities with nursery rhymes and folk songs utilization. The practical part composes of a program of rhythmical accompaniment to the nursery rhymes and folk songs with a gradual challenge for an age-mixed nursery school class. The program was executed in a group of children at the age of 3 - 5. The children accepted it positively, its difficulty was adequate to the children?s age. Methodological recommendations for creating the program are attached at the end of the thesis.
